Well, Betty sure has been busy! She's cleaned every room in the house twice, listened to every true-crime podcast ever recorded, and has gone through at least 8.4 boxes of wine. What's a drag queen to do when she can't go outside or accost strangers for tips? Watch all of her favorite movies and explore some new ones!

Betty has an odd taste in film for sure - she loves raunchy pre-code classics, film noir, and old MGM musicals. She also has a dark side - she binge-watches crime documentaries and all that Mother Nature has blessed us with. Here are a few of her favorite (mostly free!) adventures she's been on while staying inside and dragging her butt on the carpet to keep busy. ​

Showcasing books and stories that lift up the arts, diversity, and acceptance, Creative Alliance presents an online distraction for your kids to learn through entertainment. The Creative Alliance Residency Program accommodates eight resident artists, one in each of the studio for terms from one to three years. It is intended for emerging artists and more accomplished artists whose goal is to invigorate their work in an intensive creative atmosphere. Artists are encouraged (but not required) to use the studios as their primary residence. With the support of the Creative Alliance staff, resident artists will be at the center of the Baltimore art scene, with a wealth of community contacts and professional resources at their fingertips!

When presented with the incredible milestone of Creative Alliance’s 25th birthday year in 2020, Visual Arts Curator Thomas James and Executive Director Gina Caruso decided to create an exhibition that honors the original mission of Creative Alliance: to introduce emerging artists to the audiences of Baltimore.

We are excited to announce that Creative Alliance has received a $400,000 Infrastructure and Capacity Building Challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities!

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) announced Tuesday $30.9 million in grants to support 188 humanities projects in 45 states and the District of Columbia. Creative Alliance is honored to be among renowned Baltimore institutions such as The Walters and the Baltimore Museum of Art who have previously received this grant.
