This year’s Marquee Ball doles out three themed parties in one night! A dinner cabaret in the theater, a buffet in the lounge, and late night costume ball all based on the film noir whatsit movie, Kiss Me Deadly. We’ll transform The Patterson into scenes of BLOOD RED KISSES and WHITE HOT THRILLS with some clandestine Cold War tactics to keep the mysterious glowing box under wraps.
Our honorary chair, M&T’s Mike “the Hammer” Riley invites you to join us for a ritzy cabaret Private Eye dinner. We’ll recognize Ethel Ennis with the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award. Known as Baltimore’s “First Lady of Jazz,” Ms. Ennis performed with a long list of legends, and she is legendary herself as she celebrates her 80th year. Jane Brown & Neil Didriksen accept the Golden Formstone Award in celebration of the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation’s support for the cutting edge of innovation and creativity.
Or stop by the Marquee Lounge for cocktails and a buffet if you prefer less formal approach to the Golden Age of Noir. After 9:30pm, the evening transitions into the Speakeasy Dance Party that brings an additional 500 party-goers to The Patterson. Guests manage to pack more fun into one night than some people do all year and find great deals at the Shakedown Auction featuring art and unique items. Guests enjoy beer, wine, and light fare (included in ticket price), and dance to the awesome power of the Baltimore’s Boogalooing Bellevederes. Dress up as your favorite detective or femme fatale for one of Baltimore’s best parties.
