The Skeptics formed on Groundhog Day in 1984, in Frederick, MD. For six years, the band played a blend of garage, surf, punk, Appalachian, and psychedelic music for a small but devoted fan base, opening for bands like The Slickee Boys, Velvet Monkeys, and Half Japanese.
