In the days before the New Hampshire primary, former president Bill Clinton (from a town called Hope, of all places) mocked the Obama campaign as a fairy tale, implying that an optimistic view is not enough to mend our current state. As the title of this exhibition suggests, painter/curator Paul Jeanes gathers artists in a range of media that evoke a spirit of rosy optimism, utopia and/or dreaminess, asking the question “can hope be enough?”
