Creative Alliance lights up its best monumental lanterns for Light City Lantern Parade on Friday, March 31! Bring the kids, charge your batteries, and march with us around the Inner Harbor!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is it?
Friday, March 31, 2017 at dusk (Rain or shine) 8pm parade start. Arrive early (by 7pm) to park, ready equipment and line up for the parade.

Where do you we meet, check-in, line up for the Parade?
The Creative Alliance check-in tent will be stationed on Rash Field. The parade lineup will start on the inner harbor promenade by the Science Center (steps) and extend to the Rusty Scupper.

How long is the walk?
The Parade is a 1 mile walk from Rash Field to Columbus Piazza at Eastern Avenue and President Street. We expect the parade to conclude by 9:30pm.

What should I wear?
It may be cold, so keep gloves, scarves, and coats near! Make your costumes tall and bright! Consider using battery-operated LED lights, glow sticks.

Bike parking is available on the back lawn of the Visitor Center, accessible via Light Street at Conway Street, or from the Jones Falls bike trail.

Temporary restrooms and hand sanitizers are located throughout the festival:

West Shore Park
Pier 5
Pier 6

Other useful information:

  Lost & Found:
All items found will be turned into Festival Headquarters at Pier 5 Hotel where they can be claimed. Post-festival, those looking for lost items should call BOPA at 410-752-8632. Light City is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

   Lost Child:
Visit Guest Services (West Shore Park, near Aquarium Drive, Pier 5 outside of the hotel and Pier 7/East Falls Ave), where festival staff will connect with the Baltimore Police Department, or call Festival Headquarters, 443-807-7524.
