Art To Dine For - From Damascus To Baltimore
SAT OCT 28 | 7-9pm
Middle Eastern | Casual | Wyman Park | $200 (Sold Out)
This event is SOLD OUT.
Architects Jamie Snead and Steve Ziger open their renovated Baltimore home for guests to enjoy traditional Middle Eastern cuisine prepared by Iman Ashab, a former chef from Damascus who is now a Syrian war refugee living in Baltimore. Hear her compelling personal story, first profiled by writer Christy Macy for the International Rescue Committee, and learn how the city’s refugee community is enriching our urban culture. Historian Taylor Branch continues the conversation by highlighting the far-reaching impact of immigration on America’s democratic heritage.
